Born San Antonio Hospital in Upland and raised in Ontario -- Edison Elementary, Vina Danks, Chaffey High, Chaffey College, San Diego State, New Mexico State. Studied Economics.
Military -- Air National Guard then USAF, Honorably Discharged from active duty in December 1970. During this period I became a member of the Baha'i Faith in Alamogordo, New Mexico.
Moved to Ecuador late 1971 after performing 3 months of Community Service in very remote rural areas of Colombia (Choc— and La Guajira).
My wife, children and I are actively involved in programs for the betterment of society through the elimination of prejudice, promotion of gender equality, and the spiritual empowerment of children and youth.
Since 2003 I have been working as the executive Director of a Foundation involved in Education, Environment and the Science of the Rainforest www.fundacionwong.org. Prior to that I worked almost 13 years in upper management of hatchery production for pond grown shrimp and as head of the genetic improvement program. For the first 15 years in Ecuador I worked as a Professor of English at two Universities, translator at the State Oil Company and as a private English teacher.
